Controls Engineer/Project Manager

Edward obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in the Dominican Republic and initially worked with new flight radar system at the international airport. He then worked as Production Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor for electronic products assembly, while pursuing post graduate studies in quality management and doing computer programming.

In 1997 Edward moved to the U.S. and became a Commissioning Engineer for sortation systems for Crisplant, Inc. After training in Denmark, he supervised multiple projects including the Swedish Postal Service, the U.S. Postal Service, Amazon, MarMaxx, and The Gap. He worked for Corvis Corp. as Software Engineer and Supervisor of the Test & Measure of Optical Fiber Bragg Gratings. Prior to joining USS in 2007, he was the on-site project manager for two of the largest automated baggage sortation systems installed to date, located in Brussels and Madrid International Airports.

Edward's main strength is his ability to communicate with the client to understand their specific sortation needs. Because of his extensive and diverse technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills, he is able to ensure that client requirements are met and full equipment functionality is achieved. As a native Spanish speaker, he is able to provide bilingual support if required.
